Simple Security Label Parser

A simple guide to the KDP4 Simple Security Label Parser

The Simple Security Label Parser will apply labels from a single field that you specify during the import process. These labels will be automatically discovered and parsed, then applied to the entire row as the data is ingested. These labels cannot be changed once imported, however, permissions can be managed after the fact. Simple Security Labels must be alpha, numeric and the period characters only (A-Z, 0-9, .). Labels are not case-sensitive.

How these labels function is that a user is granted permissions that correspond to their labels. If the user does not possess the attribute that matches the security label, they are unable to access the data. This includes even viewing the data to see that it exists. Once upload is complete, this may perplex you, but remember, you must have the corresponding attribute to interact with data using ABAC.
