To connect KDP4 to a remote datasource, you must first have at least one dataset already created
- Refer to Creating Datasets for more information on creating a new dataset.
- Refer to Adding Data to Your Datasets for more information on the the first steps to adding data.
- Additional configuration may be required if you have a firewall between your data source and KDP4. Check Connecting Your Datasources Through a Firewall for additional information.
Select “Connect to a Source”.
From the dropdown, select the source type to which you want to connect.
For more detailed instructions for each source type, please select one of the following guides.
- Amazon S3

Select whether you would like to use ABAC (Attribute-Based Access Control) on your datasets. See ABAC Label Parsers for additional information on ABAC label parsers.
If using ABAC, Select your label parser and input your label parser fields. See the below references for additional information on label parser types:
Select how you would like to treat records with empty values.
